OUR FOCUS
We’re looking for entrepreneurs at the forefront of trends that are changing the food and beverage industry in the areas of:
• Applications, like Smart Kitchen, Taste & Gastronomy (Food Delivery, Payment) Food Science / Nutrition (New Proteins, Personalized Nutrition, Wellness), Food Safety / Security (Traceability, Transparency, Fraud Prevention), Packaging (Stability, Accessibility), Last Mile
• Technologies, like Big Data and Decision Support Systems, Predictive Modelling, 3D Printing, AI, VR/AR, Connected Devices, Smart Devices/IoT, Robots, Mobile, Genome Editing
OUR COMMITMENT
We will offer four breakthrough entrepreneurs (teams) a € 30,000 grant as well as the participation in a 9-month program designed to accelerate your idea. At the end of the program, we seek to support you in turning your idea into reality.
HOW IT WORKS
ABOUT THE PROGRAM
The foodRegio StartUp Lab is a 9-month program where 4 selected entrepreneurs (teams) will be accelerated to success. During this period the teams will be challenged to demonstrate measurable progress.
Teams will have access to a curriculum of business resources and training modules, and will also be able to collaborate with each other. Teams will benfit from the experience of foodRegio companies on product development, branding & marketing, sales & distribution, e-commerce, R&D, media relations and other areas. All participating teams will be required to participate in all foodRegio StartUp Lab events like kick-off, mid-term event and final program event in Luebeck, Germany.
The foodRegio StartUp Lab is part of the gateway49.com acceleration programme which also addresses other industries. Of the 12 teams selected in the accelerator we aim for 4 foodtech teams.
HOW TO APPLY
Complete this form prior to March, 10, 2020 including as much information as possible to help us understand why your business idea should be included in our programme. Try to be as complete as possible with your answers, keeping in mind that confidential information should not be shared. An external 3rd party will review all submissions and our selection committee will chosse finalists.
