New legal requirements such as the European Green Deal and the Supply Chain Duty of Care Act are increasingly calling on companies to take responsibility for the impact of their business activities. In addition, the requirements of customers, investors and other interest groups are changing. The implementation of sustainability offers numerous added values for companies, such as cost reductions, process improvements, quality assurance, risk minimisation and the promotion of innovation. The successful integration of sustainability requires that the topic is firmly anchored in the corporate strategy and practised in all business areas. Sustainability should not just be seen as a legal obligation or a short-term marketing measure, but should be lived and implemented holistically within the company.
